[Cross Country] Men Run Wild at the FHSU Tiger InvitePublished by
Hays, Kan. - The Sterling College men's cross country team took advantage of a perfect day for cross country by establishing new season bests all the way across the board for the five who ran. With a light rain and cool temperatures, a fast course and great competition the Warriors could not have asked for a better scenario. Junior Chris Penner had his break out race and led the way for the Warriors with a 27:30, bettering his previous season best by over a minute. Freshman Cody Rodriquez and Sophomore Jared Reimer both earned themselves new personal records with a 28:01 and a 28:13 respectively. Junior Kevin Burgess bettered his previous season best by 0:54 seconds to finish with a 28:53 and Junior Evan Kolacny had a 1:17 second season best finishing with a 34:18.
